The recipe for success.

Are you ready to learn the recipe for success?

Please, take a moment and ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Are you looking for a quick and easy way to make your blog successful?
  2. Do you spend hours reading different blogs and articles about how to be a successful blogger?
  3. Are you buying products that tell you how successful you will be if you just follow their step by step plan?
  4. Do you think your work has to be perfect before you publish that blog post or Ebook?
  5. Do you believe that if you just wait a little longer, things will improve?

If you answered, yes to any or all of those questions, like I did, it is time to get to work.  I have been doing all of the above since late 2004 and I am not much more successful at blogging now than I was when I started because even though I thought I was working I wasn’t.

It was hard to come to this conclusion after years of spending time and money working on my various blog projects but I finally realized that the things I have been doing while searching for success have been the things that are keeping me from success.  If I put all that time and effort in to writing blog posts and Ebooks, I would not be in the same place now as I was almost eight years ago.

The moral of this story is, forget about searching for shortcuts and quick fixes!  Forget about wasting your money on just one more success plan!  Forget about being perfect!  Forget about waiting for the perfect time to act!  And just do the work!!!!

Add a little salt for flavor but just doing the work will taste really good once it is done!

The common trait of the most successful bloggers.

I started blogging some time back in 2004 and since then, I have been searching for the key to becoming a successful blogger. I am not sure how many online blogging courses that I bought and how many thousands of articles and blogs I have read but after all this time, I might have finally stumbled upon what makes a blogger a successful blogger.

There is one common trait that I have found in all successful bloggers. This trait is the ability to take a very complex task and explain it in simple to understand terms that anyone can use. Not only are these people successful at blogging but there are also successful at most everything they do.

Do not wait for perfect, stop waiting and publish something now.

I keep telling myself that I want to change the design here, add my email subscription box and about 20 other things before I start posting here again but I found that if I keep waiting for everything else, I will never start posting. Do any of you reading this feel the same way? That you have to wait until everything is perfect before we start typing posts and sharing information with others like we want to do? The whole reason that I started this blog was to share my experiences with others who share common interests but if I never post here, I will never get to share with others.

Let me share this one thing with you today. Just start typing and hit publish. It doesn’t matter if you do not like your blog design, if you have 20 other things that you think you need to do before you start typing or if you just don’t feel you are ready, just hit publish. All those great ideas and experiences that you want to share with others do no one any good until you hit the little publish button.
